ICAST isn’t just an event I’ve been wanting to attend it is “the” event. The Big show. ICAST stands for the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades. It is the worlds largest sportfishing trade show held every year in Orlando, Florida in the beginning part of July. This year was the first time I was able to attend and wow, did it not disappoint. I’m sure it helped that I was surrounded by all things fishing and fellow anglers from around the world. It was pretty cool to see everyone come together by something I’m sure most of us their have been passionate about most of our lives.
My buddy and fellow JT Outdoor products staffer, Matt Bain, attended the event with me. I decided that I would do a podcast to review some of the new products that stuck out to me and ones that I thought you might enjoy looking at as well. During this podcast it is a brief overview and we give our opinions on what our initial thoughts were on the products. I can say with confidence however that this year was the year of new trolling motors that many of you should educate yourselves more on.
