Every year this time when winter is trying to hang on and spring is anxiously waiting to emerge, I start to focus less on the ice fishing and more on the open water. I enjoy heading out to my barn and turning the heater on to start to get it warm in there so that I can spend my days organizing and getting my boat ready for open water season.
