The power of “blogs” or “blogging” have been underestimated for years. Those who do not follow a blog or are not privy to them probably don’t even realize their impact. Most of the time when you google a subject it is a blog that lands on the top page providing information that you can click on.
My guest today demonstrates the power of blogging and just how many people she can reach. Ashley Rae, is the creator of shelovestofish.com, a blog the documents her adventures on the water doing what she loves to do most, fish. Ashely started the blog back in 2009 and has grown it steadily to help catapult her career and become a well known name in the fishing industry. She is a freelance writer, brand ambassador and has been published in Field and Stream Magazine.
Today on the podcast we discuss when and how she grew up fishing, starting the blog, how her career took off, tournament wins and more. Ashley also discusses her future ambitions and how she plans to get more women involved in the sport of fishing.
